DJ Le Blanc
Le Blanc was born june 1969. When he reached the age of 17 he got infected by the new beat and acid house, later on the detroit sound. Inspired by guys like Kevin Saunderson, Tyree Cooper and Steve `silk` Hurley he bought his first set of turntables and started out mixing. As a result he started organising his own parties in underground clubs in breda, as housemusic was not yet mainstream at the time. in 1989 he became a resident DJ in a club in breda, where
he played a wide variety of dance, from pure hip-hop to the latest detroit releases. From 1991 until 1995 he held a low profile, but in 1995 he renewed his contact with the dutch house scene and started buying records again. That same year he was frequently asked to spin his records at small, mostly private parties. This finally resulted in a major breakthrough in 1999, with residencies for a club called `Spock`, and for the Groove Lounge party organisation. Most famous are his sessions at the Wildlife events in amsterdam, which resulted in the august 2000 release of his first mixcompilation, also entitled Wildlife. A follow-up is scheduled for winter 2001. His style can be described as a mixture of club and techhouse with a twist of funk.
Le Blanc also started producing his own music, mainly funky filtergrooves, which will be released
on a new Black Hole sublabel, Jacuzzi.
